"Famous Openings"

Now lets talk about openings,
as we all know, openings in chess are sensitive, one mistake would make you lose the game!, so lets discuss some of the famous openings:

1) ALEKHINE'S DEFENCE: Its basically a king side defence, where black or white force the opponents pawns to move forward and start attacking them, as we'r speaking of attacking a specific piece, its always preferred to pressure your opponent by attacking 1 piece rather then blindly moving your pieces. when this defense situation applied, the opponent whose pawns are onfront exerts alots of pressure on the opponent.

2) THE CARO-KANN DEFENCE: a semei-open king's pawn defence: Its basicly a C6 replies by black, followed by D5 to take position of the middle. Black has some advantages.In specific, 1. e4 c6 2. d4 d5 3.Nc3 dxe4 4. Nxe4 Bf5 5. Ng3 Bg6 6. Nf3 Nd7 7. Bd3 e6 8. 0-0 Ngf6 9.Re1 Be7 10.c4 Qc7 11.b3 Bxd3 12.Qxd3 0-0) Respectively from white to black.



3)THE DUTCH DEFENCE: An advance defense, black replies F5 which open the line on the king. The player should becareful in using this defence. In this situation, black attempts to attack the king side, so he starts developing from the king side. 1. d4 f5(main move) 2. c4 e6 3.g3 Nf6 4. Bg2 Be7 5.Nf3 0-0 6. 0-0)

1)The ruy lopez

An old but strong opening (deriving its name from a treatise written by Ruy Lopez de Segura, a great 16th century Spanish player). White's opening advantage is said to be held for longer in this than any other opening. Moves follow the "Épine Dorsale" until White's KB-QKt5 attack in move 3 (left).

The early attack (on the knight protecting Black's K4 pawn) is intended to make Black's counter-play in the centre difficult for him. White's problem is that Black's defence has several variations:

e4-e5-Nf3-Nc6-Bb5..




2)English opening:

White avoids early occupation of the centre and often fianchettoes his KB, putting pressure on the queen's side pawns and attacking along the QB-file (move 11, right) once Black plays P-Q4. White is thus often playing the Sicilian Defence with a move in hand, but Black has several good lines.

3)Queen's gambit

White's aim is eventually to create a pawn centre at Q4 and K4, coupled with pressure on the queen's side using the QB-file. In most variations of this opening the gambit is declined by Black (although the Gambit Accepted by 2..PxP is not unpopular), whereupon White seeks a Q-side minority attack.
