Thanks for your feedback Chessleader.
Do you think reading chess magazines and playing through the annotated games is a good way to improve? Or is it better to try and guess the moves first? |

Same here; I have subscribed to the NIC Magazine for several years already. The issues have been particularly high-quality since NIC changed to colour photos instead of black and white photos.

I'd also suggest making some you know all your basic endings. Silman's Endgame book is a good start. |

(IMHO) A very good book I can recommend is J. Silmans's «The Amateur's Mind». Very instructive to understand positions and ideas during games.
