Btw, his first name is spelt 'Hikaru' - and have you seen the interview by Macauley Peterson? It's 10 minutes and really good, useful information!

Also Hess did brilliantly, with a 2800ish performance rating, becoming a GM next rating list, at just 17 years of age!

There is no 'Mainz fairly' tournament, but the Mainz tournament is a giant rapid and giant chess960 open tournament (both separate) and has a few hundred GMs and thousands more players! And if you're lucky, you get to play next to giants like Anand and Carlsen, who are on the stage!

All in all, a massive Mainz party!

nakamura won the tournament again! this guy is unbelievably great!
he is improving quickly! on the next FIDE rating list he will be number 15 in the world with a 2735 FIDE rating!

In fact, his rating may be even higher if he performs well in the Rising Stars vs Experience match, although this will not be included on the next list.
